BRANDING & IDENTITY
The challenge is to creatively articulate, using images, colour, texture and movement, the core essence of what your company stands for. It is the overarching story of what makes you tick. A brand identity talks to your corporate culture, business fundamentals and best practices. It leaves an impression which becomes indelibly etched in the minds of your clients, competitors and the public. It tells your story.

BRENTWOOD BAY LODGE & SPA - Brentwood Bay, Canada
Located just steps from the studio of Andrew Lewis Design (ALD), the Brentwood Bay Lodge & Spa required a complete brand identity system including colour palette, typography and wayfinding system.

CANOE BREWPUB - Victoria, Canada
A designer’s dream come true. The Canoe Brewpub commissioned ALD to redesign their corporate brand identity, menus, print ads, billboards, beer labels and poster series, interior & exterior signage systems. ALD has had an exceptional relationship with Canoe since 2002 and has continued to assist in their ongoing brand management.

MS. WINNIE - Tokyo, Japan
A retail project directed by ALD, included an brand identity system, colour palette, poster series, signage systems and point of purchase displays. Also working with Japanese designer, Tomoko Miyagawa for translation and typographic elements was fun!

HOSPITALITY, FOOD & DRINK
Your brand should, with one image and few words, convey a crystal clear picture of your company or products’ attributes and characteristics. It defines your vision, your mission, your people and core values. Packaging is all about getting the consumer to interact with your product. It engages them. It intrigues. It defines the personality of your product in a very cluttered world. Ultimately, it builds one-glance recognition, confidence and brand loyalty.
STARBUCKS COFFEE - Seattle, USA
Having been honoured as being the first Canadian illustrator to work with Starbucks Coffee, the company returned with another commission. This time it was to design and illustrate the official Canadian coffee card. The success of this design prompted VISA to select the artwork for use as the face of their DUETTO card.

MIRALOMA ON THE COVE - Sidney, Canada
Located on Vancouver Island, Miraloma On The Cove required not only a fresh brand identity system but a multi-provincial advertising campaign marketing quarter ownership residences.

SEBASTIANS MARKET - London, Canada
Well, it was fun while it lasted. An amazing story of how a little 400 sq. ft. retailer grew and grew and grew then one day it was no longer. ALD was commissioned to design the brand identity, packaging, posters, advertising campaigns and signage systems.
O de VIE - Victoria, Canada
After redesigning the brand identity of Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub, owner Paul Hadfield commissioned ALD to design the packaging for his new line of aquifer waters but also develop a new name “O de Vie”.

ZANATTA WINERY - Cowichan Valley, Canada
Owners Loretta Zanatta and husband Jim Moody of Zanatta Winery approached ALD to redesign their brand identity and label series. Respecting the long, rich history of the winery, we hired photographer Paul Miszczyk to create a series in black & white photographs reminiscent of a sun baked Tuscan valley.
HEALTHCARE
There is an emerging need for providers to demonstrate their services and profile their facilities in this highly competitive health care market place.
An effective provider in the health care system is not only one that supports British Columbians to stay healthy, get better, live with disease and cope with end of life; but, also markets initiatives in order to be successful in the industry. Providers need to communicate and promote their range of services and capabilities through a variety of resources including, but not limited to, web sites, advertising, logos, brochures and other collateral materials.
BELVEDERE SENIORS LIVING - Coquitlam, Canada
Working exclusively with Andrew Butler & Associates, ALD created a new brand identity for Belvedere Seniors Living and four of its facilities located on Vancouver’s Lower Mainland. Reflecting owner Bert Evertt’s unique and fresh vision, a series of brands and marketing campaigns was developed and continues to evolve as the company grows.

POSTERS
It is the “absolute” of pure design. A poster should be ageless. It must connect with its contemporary audience but it must be able to stand the test of time, to continue to convey a story far beyond its original use and intention. To date, Andrew Lewis has designed over 500 posters, with a total print run of almost one million copies produced for distribution around the world.
