A New Colourful, Energizing Mural in Downtown London, Ontario

London Ontario! Libro Credit Union kindly commmissioned a double wall mural (800 sq ft) located on Richmond Street next to Victoria Park (the old Williams Coffee). It’s a complex multi-layered design which is an exciting challenge!

A wide shot of the mural, in progress, on the exterior of the new Libro Credit Union.

Artist Andrew Lewis works on a 90-by-14-foot mural wrapping around the south and east walls of the new Libro Credit Union at 578 Richmond St. on Richmond Row in downtown London. Lewis’s work is known internationally for brands such as Perrier and Converse. He says the east wall will reflect the colours of Victoria Park festivals, while the south one will “bring colour, energy and hopefully add a vibrance to the downtown.”

Andrew was assisted by Emma Hutchison-Hounsell and Lizzy Welch, 14, in painting the mural which wraps around the buildings south and east facing walls. Here they are putting some fine touches on the mural.
